01.09.2026 | After three-years of work ECOEMPOWER ends with a set of practical resources designed to support Energy Communities in developing, strengthening and scaling local energy initiatives.
As our three-year ECOEMPOWER project comes to an end, the consortium want to thank its partners, stakeholders and community members for their collaboration, commitment and valuable exchange. The project leaves behind a set of practical resources designed to support Energy Communities in developing, strengthening and scaling local energy initiatives.
Over the past three years, ECOEMPOWER has worked across five European regional ecosystems to make Energy Communities more accessible, resilient and effective. Through practical support structures, digital tools and shared learning, the project has helped to translate local ambitions into actionable solutions.
We want to end our activites with wrapping up upon our key resources to support continued local action:
- Our videos provide practical insights into central ECOEMPOWER approaches. The video on the Energy ICT Platform presents a digital tool that supports Energy Communities in forecasting local energy generation, planning energy use and assessing potential costs and benefits. A second video, From Vision to Action, brings together perspectives from project partners on local Energy Communities and illustrates how One-Stop Shops can provide tailored support throughout the development process.
- The ECOEMPOWER Best Practices also offer inspiration for local and regional actors. They present experiences from across Europe, demonstrating how Energy Communities and One-Stop Shops can foster citizen engagement, develop appropriate support services and respond effectively to local needs. The examples are intended to help users identify proven approaches and adapt them to their own context.
- In addition, you can now access our ECOEMPOWER Toolbox free of charge. The toolbox includes practical instruments to assess an Energy Community’s maturity, develop robust business models, monitor social impacts and make better-informed energy decisions with the Energy ICT Platform.
The ECOEMPOWER consortium hopes that the knowledge, experiences and connections created through the project will continue to support inclusive and sustainable local energy action across Europe.
Stay safe!
